Learn how to master Brick-Bult Water with this free LEGO ebook from Exe Sandbox [Feature]

When it comes to water-building, there are plenty of examples from official LEGO sets that can be adapted for your custom models, but sometimes you want to push your LEGO creations beyond basic designs. Tong Xin Jun (Exe Sandbox)  has created an extensive guide full of tips and tricks for creating LEGO water from bricks and is offering it as  a free ebook: Brick-Built Water. The  builder graciously offered to let us host a copy of the ebook so that others can learn from this essential resource.

The book begins with a visual table of contents featuring small square buildings organized into sections, starting with simple techniques for flat water and simple landscapes, and advancing to more complex builds like waterfalls and waves.

The techniques illustrated in each chapter are simple and use a variety of readily available parts. For each section, the instructions start simple and add more advanced techniques to build on earlier methods.

The river section is one of my favorites, showing different ways to create interesting landscapes along with methods for creating changes in elevation along the way.

In the waterfall chapter, Exe demonstrates a variety of methods for creating cascading waterfalls, ranging from tiles facing outward to sideways transparent plates.

Building organic-looking waves is easy with these simple and flexible techniques.

You can downlaod the book here and use these great building techniques to take your water-building to the next level.
