LEGO City latest subtheme Stuntz adds friction motor feature to LEGO bikes [News]

A new LEGO City subtheme named Stuntz is slated to be released later this year in October 2021.  We take a first look at the assortment of bikes retrofitted with the push forward (friction motor based) featured dubbed the Stuntz Flywheel with a number of new and fun looking minifigures.

Based on information from Brickset the details of the series are as follows with a total of 10 sets.

  • LEGO City Stuntz 60310 Chicken Stunt Bike
  • LEGO City Stuntz 60311 Fire Stunt Bike

The City Stuntz theme features monster trucks and ramps for daredevil bikers and dangerous-looking stunts that can be performed with the push forward action. An assortment of bikes ranging from race bikes to dirt bikes challenges in an arena for a showdown.

The new theme is a reminisce of the LEGO City 60255 Stunt Team set sans the pull back feature from 2020.

Another similar theme is the LEGO Technic 42016 Stunt Show Truck & Bike (US $49.99 | CAN $69.99 | UK £44.99.) This set has the pullback function instead of the friction motor used for the Stuntz bikes .
