Hailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ignacio Bernaldez (Ignacio.B)has designed a steam powered war-train that would look right at home in Lemon_Boy’s awefulworld. I’m not sure how to file this one…steampunk, tweepunk, railpunk? I suppose “Train” will have to do.
Hey Everybody, It’s the builder. I’m from Argentina, but currently I live in Minnesota! Thanks for blogging my train!
Good to see this get blogged!
I’d also like to point TBB viewers to some other excellent examples of this sub-subgenre, namely Ignacio’s previous design; http://www.flickr.com/photos/watchmendecals/8054643258/in/photostream
As well as Forest’s original build that kicked this microtheme off; http://www.flickr.com/photos/32558479@N04/8130039011/in/photostream
Tweepunk!? What exactly is Tweepunk?
^I’m not exactly sure, but all the cool kids are doing it. I guess it means excessively or affectedly quaint, pretty, or sentimental models that are also somehow charactarized by being in some way disrespectful, rude, or otherwise unpleasant.
The real inspiration for all these trains in one way or another comes from Eric’s original model. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lemon_boy/7415124338/in/set-72157628373788745
^ The real inspirations (and any of the builders can correct me if I’m wrong) are probably Russian armoured trains. Which were awesome and I’m pretty sure Eric knows about.
Here is the Flickr group for Tweepunk.
