This entry in the Battles Contest, by Rod Gillies, is balanced on one stud! He says that it took a lot of time and obscenities before it worked out. I’m glad he muddled through!

I wonder if that’s why the trolls aren’t wearing their helmets
Obscenities indeed, makes me twitchy just thinking about it.
Wow. This is pretty awesome. All that can be done with one stud…
@Nannan – Trolls can’t take off their helmets?
This deserves a Medal of its own.
1X1 building contest, anyone?
Morning! Just seen this feature – thanks very much. Much appreciated.
^ Nannan – the trolls originally had helmets on, but the photo just looked better when you could see their faces properly.
It has to be said, I’m not a big fan of the “proper” troll helmets anyway – I think I might treat myself to some Viking helms from Bricklink.
*achoo* Oops, sorry
That’s so neat – TooMuchCaffeine, you must have rock-steady hands and nerves of steel!
There have been some neat submissions to the contest, but this is one of my favorites.
Oddly enough, I was just showing this to my wife this morning (and explaining the contest).
I tried balancing two minifigs on top of another once, but having the lowest fig balances on one leg? That deserves recognition of some kind.
Surely this creation will win something.
^TooMuchCaffeine: I dislike the troll helmets too, I think they look better with the Shadow knights helmets like they have in the Dwarves mine.
I feel exactly the same way, Optimystic.
The troll helmets look amusingly similar to a helmet used in The Last Starfighter (By the control room bad guys), but sadly I can’t find a picture. Or a good use for the troll helmets.
