The newest LEGO DC Comics set 76157 Wonder Woman vs. Cheetah is now available from LEGO. The set comes with 371 pieces and includes three minifigures of Wonder Woman, Cheetah and Maxwell Lord. The set is currently available for US $39.99 | CAN $49.99 | UK £34.99 (with 2x VIP points for the month of May).
The Warner Bros. film Wonder Woman 1984 was originally slated for June 5th, though it has been delayed until August 14th because of the coronavirus. The Wonder Woman set is now available from LEGO along with the new Minions sets and Star Wars helmets.
The biggest eye-catcher off the bat is the stunning box art featuring an illustrated comic book version of Wonder Woman and Cheetah sizing each other up before a fight. The only other similar boxes in recent memory have been those from the LEGO Hidden Side lineup, featuring stylized illustrations of the set on the front of the box.
The set itself features a bunker and a tower with a rotating golden transmitter. The transmitter rotates 360 degrees and tilts up and down. (Frankly, the tower looks reminiscent of LEGO’s recent employee Christmas gift with the X-Wing removed.)
In terms of minifigures, the set comes with Wonder Woman (Diana Prince), her arch-enemy Cheetah (Dr. Barbara Minerva) and a character named Maxwell Lord. Wonder Woman is decked out in all gold with wings and a new molded helmet. Cheetah features a catsuit similar to her yellow collectible minifigure variant released earlier this year. Max sports a plaid suit with a matching tie.
The overall set measuring 19 cm tall and 20 cm wide and purports to be a “2-sided model” (though most LEGO sets typically include 360 degrees of fun). We do hope that the golden paneling on the transmitter is made with printed pieces rather than 26 stickers.
