We’re head over heels for Vignweek’s day 5 upside down builds [Feature]

Do not adjust your screen. Today’s round-up of Vignweek builds features topsy-turvy creations around the theme “upside down.” This is also the last set of builds created with a 24-hour limit. Some builds are photographed upside down, others are constructed from the ceiling down, and others split the difference with mirror worlds. These are just a selection of the incredible upside-down vignettes from both familiar builders and some new faces.

You can always count on NikiFilik for bright and playful builds, and today is no exception. What a fun twist on perspective as this stunt plane flips in the sky.

Someone had to do it, and that someone was buillding_after_dark. Spider-man’s upside-down kiss remains one of the most iconic scenes in all of superhero cinema and the builder recreates it perfectly.

Not one to leave us hanging, Mork Builds pays tribute to another famous movie scene of a dangling hero. Poor Luke has to get back to Echo Base before he can get his kiss though.

The_maly depicts a terrifying scenario that thankfully very few will ever experience. It’s not the most realistic scene, however, as that’s an awful lot of leg room for coach!

Julian (smieszek_bricks) presents an ordinary day in the life of an Australian, living upside down surrounded by spiders.

All of the Three Little Mice have been participating in Vignweek 2025. I love this entry from the middle mouse, Bridgette, with that fiery head of hair.

Grant Decker shows another cute fellow hanging from a tree. This entry doubles as a Frogust build.

While we await the final season of Stranger Things, Claire Childress takes us back to the beginnings with this chilling rendition of the Upside Down.

Greenarj continues the mirror-world theme with a warrior returning home to ruins and a reflection of the life that could have been.

A werewolf for all seasons? Noah (building_connections_official) was inspired by all the amazing entries on days 1-4 and shows that it’s never too late to join a contest.

Cassandra Perry only just began posting MOCs. She’s off t o a great start with this D&D inspired scene of a rogue using Boots of Elvenkind to perform a magical heist.

Casey (lambbricks) pays tribute to that time when Calvin got stuck on the ceiling.

Syrdarian shows Superman finding a moment of peace by escaping to the ceiling. The highlight of this scene is the lovely furniture, which is based on creations by brickdesigned.

We end wehere we started, with an upside-down airplane. But this time it’s a forced perspective shot of a fighter jet pilot. Selling the illusion was no small task within the constraints of vignette sie, but builder CRCT Productions more than succeeds.

We’ll be back on Tuesday with a round-up of the final challenge.
