Halloween may be in the past, but we’re still haunted by a collab of classic movie monsters reinterpreted in LEGO by top character builders.
Fresh off winning the 2025 Bio-Cup, Hlebo Bas gets back to the mad NPU science with this wild and inspired take on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Both the good doctor and his alter ego feature wonderfully expressive faces from a fun mix of parts. Just as impressive is the sinewy sense of movement that the builder excels at.
Another Bio-Cup alum, GiiKei, unearths this stunning Mummy. The delicate limbs wrapped everything from rubber bands to minifig helms to balloon panels looks phenomenal in the leonine pose, but the showstopping piece here is the buildable Rey face painted gold.
Ben Anderson doubles up the events with this incredible Headless Horseman that was also built for the just-wrapped Iron Builder showdown. The seed part is used both for the Horseman’s coat his mount’s mane.
We tip our hats to this cheeky Invisible Man from Sam Gengo. Those pearly whites come from a strategically blocked out white tire and the eyes are stickers from a Technic pullback car. I’m most impressed by the shirt and tie where a flame piece fits flush between two Bionicle feet.
Shipmaster sticks with mostly systems parts while still finding some bloody good NPU for this Bride of Dracula, like the horn headpiece as fangs and flippers as a frill collar.
Joe Swansus brings the trendy Frankenstein to life with a build that brings Bionicle energy despite not using much of that system. You know what else it evokes? Power Miners. Which is a lot sexier than Jacob Elordi.
Finally, Mattia Careddu ensures Franky won’t be lonely with this shockingly good Bride, dressed for a day at the lab. The angular outfit and towering updo of candle hair reminds me of a design from Genndy Tartakovsky.
