2025 LEGO Advent Calendar Spoilers: Day 23 [Feature]

Our favorite holiday tradition is opening all six LEGO Advent Calendars, one day at a time, with you, our readers! Along with spoiler pics of the daily gifts, we include commentary and alternate builds to celebrate the season and creativity.

We have an all-star cast of custom minifig creators leading our Advent adventure this year. Fool’s Figures is wizarding his way through Harry Potter and Frozen calendars. ExpansionBricks is launching Star Wars and Friends. And beyondb0nes is digging into Minecraft and City. Now let’s open some doors and see what gifts are in store for today!

Fools: A Mandrake stars in Day 23, super cute and faithful to the films!

Bones: I’m lost, is this square plant coming from the Minecraft calendar?

Fools: This ice-sculpture/fountain makes for a great centerpiece amongst this years gifts.

Bones: Totally not objective here, I just love the nice combination of trans-light and trans-dark blue. It’s just so nice to look at!

Jake: All the trans blue elements are nice, but this feels like tablescraps.

Fools: The magical mandrake.

Jake: The little guy’s getting sorted.

Bones: A sleigh for today, with colors that go well with the cart from day 20. It was already present in 2024, 2023 and 2022. And while using a 1×2 plate with handles like 2022 one instead of a sword with angled tip for the runner makes it a more aesthetically pleasing build, it could be considered a bit less original.

Fools: This sled does the job but something about it looks off to me. Maybe it’s the control-stick looking thing on the front.

Expansion: Ah yes – Santa’s famous mobility scooter hehe

Bones: A table with a candle and… a cake? A rather simple build, even though this cake worries me a bit, is the frosting made from fly agaric mushrooms?

Expansion: Christmas dinner isn’t complete without mushroom cake!

Fools: I don’t know what our good friend Expansion is talking about, that cake looks excellent!

Jake: Next to the Minecraft build, the City sled looks even boxier.

Bones: A perfect season to ride bumper cars in an amusement park!

Jake: I love your Italian bear car.

Expansion: There’s something magical about a mountain of gifts of different shapes sizes and colours – but I hope mine is the big one!

Fools: The presents! How cruel to give them to us two days early… Maybe if we shake them, we can hear what’s inside?

Bones: I really like that bunch of gifts. They’re colorful, and the white touch makes them pop in a nice way.

Expansion: The final piece of Babu Frik’s workshop is a bucket of droid arms and a spade.

Fools: : The most important but least fun part of droidsmithing… The cleanup.

Expansion: Connecting all 5 sections creates a surprisingly satisfying diorama with lots of play options. This is the first time so many windows have been dedicated to depicting 1 specific scene from a movie. Put simply – it works! I’d like to see Lego try this again in the future, maybe with Mos Eisley cantina or the Jedi council chambers, there’s a lot of potential here! 5/5

Bones: Like all previous gifts of that type, on their own they have little interest in my eyes, but all together they can make a good interior for a classic Star Wars playset.

Expansion: With all the Christmas trees being cut down, you’d think this woodland spirit would be sad. On the contrary, he love seeing his kin spread festive joy.

Bones: Niche reference, but it really does look like a Dragon Quest monster :)
