LEGO has revealed a new mosaic set featuring Legends of Goth. The adult-targeted set contains 7,182 pieces, a large brick separator, and instructions and extra parts to build all five album cover designs by The Cure, Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. This set comes with a curated soundtrack that is downloadable via a QR code and will enable fans to listen to their favorite Goth albums while building.
The LEGO Goth Legends set comes in a box the size of a large pizza and will retail for US $219.99 | CAN $299.99 | UK £250.99 with a global release date of May 1st.
LEGO hopes that the Goth Legends set will be “a canvas for somber expression” that allows adults, especially moody Gen X-ers, to relax and give them a chance to create and display art based on their passions. The structure of each album cover is comprised of 25 16 x 16 stud mosaic plates which can be connected to each other with Technic pins to form the larger image. Each set comes with two Technic wall-hanging elements as well as a large black separator specially crafted to assist in quickly reassembling mosaics into alternate versions.

New LEGO Art sets featuring goth album covers from Nick Cave, Bauhaus, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and Sisters of Mercy will help adults get into the right ‘frame’ of mind while creating their very own masterpiece.
Billund, April 1st: Today, the LEGO Group is launching a new canvas for somber expression. Designed for adults who pride themselves on their love of non-mainstream music is a new LEGO Art set that will give creative adults a different way to pay homage to their Goth idols.
The LEGO Art set offers adults a creative experience to help them relax and recharge as they transform a blank canvas (or in this case, small interlinking base plates) using LEGO tiles. This set contains thousands of mostly black, white and gray round tiles but can be reimagined in several different ways to express the personality of each different builder, and to make it easy and simple for Goth lovers to refresh the LEGO Art piece on display in their house or office with a choice of five different legendary album covers. The set comes with a QR code that can enable the builder to download and listen to each album as they build as well as a hanging element to make them easy to hang up and switch around.
The LEGO Goth Legends set will be available exclusively from LEGO Retail Stores and LEGO.com in most countries starting 1st May.st
- Bauhaus – Fans can now recreate their famous Bela Legosis Dead single cover from 1982 while listening to the legendary dirge from the full Press the Eject and Give me the Tape album.
- The Cure – Music lovers can bring a wistful Robert Smith into their home or office while holding back tears and listening to Boys Don’t Cry from 1979. But it’s OK if you do cry. We won’t tell anyone.
- Sisters of Mercy – Fans can treat themselves to the somber baritone of Andrew Eldritch and the rest of Sisters of Mercy as they build the moody Floodland album cover from 1987.
- Siouxsie and the Banshees – Builders will be spellbound by the quirky wails of Goth/Punk icon Siouxsie Sioux while they build this legendary image. They’ll also appreciate the inclusion of red tiles not used in the previous three mosaics.
- Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds – Fans will adore those aforementioned red tiles as they build this image from The Boatman’s Call album cover from 1997 all while listening to dark yet somehow lovely ballots about murdering hobos.
