Today, LEGO unveiled the 71044 Disney Train and Station that features the new Powered Up train motor and realistic sound effects of a steam locomotive. It is accompanied by 5 minifigures, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Chip, Dale, and Goofy. The set comes with a total of 2,925 pieces and is priced at USA $329.99 | CAN $379.99 | UK £299.99. It will be available for purchase in LEGO stores and online via LEGO’s Shop at Home website beginning August 21, 2019, for LEGO VIP members, with general availability Sept. 1.

The builds within the set are scale models of the Disneyland Railroad train and Main Street U.S.A station. The train measures over 4 inches (12cm) tall, 30 inches (78cm) long and 3 inches (8cm) wide, while the station stands over 15 inches (39cm) tall, 14 inches (36cm) wide and 6 inches (16cm) deep.
The station features a clock, balcony, two towers with decorative flags and turns around to reveal various rooms for play scenes to be re-enacted by Disneyland fans.
The scenes within the LEGO model feature details from the Disney station located within the actual theme park. Locations include a ticket counter, the station master’s private quarters and a platform waiting area.
Play features include the Powered Up app via Bluetooth connection for the control of the train. The train consists of four sections: locomotive, tender, passenger car and parlour car. These will be able to host the minifigures supplied, or other Disney characters from the Collectible Minifigure Series.
An oval loop of tracks is included to allow for play right out of the box.
The minifigures feature iconic characters from the beloved Disney universe. Mickey Mouse sports a train engineer outfit in overalls. Chip and Dale are dressed handsomely in conductor outfits, while Minnie and Goofy wear their usual outfits.
