LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71026 DC Super Heroes Feel Guide [Review]

A few weeks ago we took a look at the latest wave of Collectible Minifigures, 71026 DC Super Heroes, with a full in-depth review. That in-depth review will give you insight into which minifigures you want to pick up, especially given this series represents the new high-water mark in pricing for individual CMF packs, ringing in at US $4.99 | CAN $4.99 | UK £3.49. As always, we source our reviews from a full case which we sort by feel before opening any packs. This means that we can also bring you one of the best feel guides on the internet, since we’ve handled each pack just like you would.

71026 Collectible Minifigures DC Super Heroes are available now at LEGO.com for US $4.99 | CAN $4.99 | UK £3.49, as well as from third-party sellers on Amazon and eBay.

Smile through your fear and sorrow...

The new Joker movie by Todd Philipps in my view tells one of the best origin stories for the Clown Prince of Crime. Being a fan of the Dark Knight and the various original treatments of his arch-enemy over the past decades, no comic panel could have told the tale that was told with the amazing embodiment of Joaquin Phoenix on the big screen. While this LEGO bust of the Joker by George Panteleon isn’t from the movie, it bears a striking resemblance to the Joker from Batman: The Animated Series, especially that nose and that wide grin. The amazing brick layering techniques in which every single piece seems to fit perfectly and brings this character to life gives me the chills.

An in-depth look at the LEGO App-Controlled Batmobile 76112 in action [Review]

The LEGO Batman App-Controlled Batmobile (76112) made its debut earlier in the year and has been quite anticipated since then. LEGO sets are pretty static in general within the System theme, with exceptions like vehicles running on tracks and rails such as trains and the recent roller coaster, so it’s pretty nice to have a free-form controlled device in the mainstream market that won’t take much time from build to play. The new Batmobile finally hits store shelves today, and we’re taking it for a spin so we can pretend to be the Dark Knight for a day.

Coming in at 321 elements and with a price tag of $99 USD and available on LEGO online stores on August 1st, let’s dive deep and evaluate if it’s worth parting with your hard earned dollar.

What do you get when you combine a Stealth Bomber and a ’68 Chevy? The Batmobile.

The original breakthrough that probably made everyone sit up and take notice that a costumed hero could not only make it to the big screen but make it great is Tim Burton’s 1989 film simply titled Batman. The sleek Art Deco-styled car was built with two Chevrolet Impala spliced together and powered with a Chevy V8. Popular Mechanics called this beast the Stealth Bomber with a ’68 Chevy combo. This LEGO built version by Dave Slater is my favourite representation the vehicle that made everyone believe that Michael Keaton could be Batman. It captures all the perfect angles and that sleek look, down to the turbine exhausts and the Rolls Royce Turbine hub front center.

One of a kind bounty hunter on a bike: DC’s Lobo

This astounding creation by Shawn Snyder has Bounty Hunter Lobo mounted on his spacehog reclining in his signature pose. Much larger than it seems, this creation stands 30 inches long, 18 inches wide and nearly as tall. Both Lobo’s eyes and his space hog’s skull light up with Power Functions.
