2022 LEGO Advent Calendars, Day 13

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Yes, it’s the holiday season, but it’s also the return of our annual LEGO advent calendar extravaganza. We’ll be opening our calendar windows  every day in the run-up to Christmas. Our team will also share their thoughts, comments, observations and jokes about each day’s builds!

We have five advent calendars this year, across the City, Friends, Star Wars, Marvel (specifically Guardians of the Galaxy) and Harry Potter themes. Let’s get right into it and see what’s hiding behind the doors of day 13, shall we?

Unlucky for some, day 13 brings a microphone and speaker for Friends, alongside a chicken’s nest – complete with egg – in the City calendar.

Star Wars has us building a sandcastle (namely Vader’s castle), and Mantis joins our Guardians of the Galaxy crew. We’ve moved onto the Order of the Phoenix portion of the Harry Potter calendar now, which leads me to believe this is the statue that sits in the lobby of the Ministry of Magic.

CJ: Unintentional (?) synergy between the calendars today! A big sand castle and a bigger rock concert. Also a chicken.

Ben: There’s a definite link across the calendars today, both SW and HP sand castles are brilliant!

Chris: Harry Potter looks like it took a detour to ancient Egypt by way of Stargate. The sand Vader’s castle is pretty adorable, too.

Kyle: There’s no way that chicken laid THAT egg, just saying…

Bart: I have no idea what the Harry Potter calendar is supposed to be.

To be fair, I’m not completely sure myself, Bart. This isn’t the first Harry Potter build to be a little ambiguous – will we get any more?

I think the HP one might be the Ministry of Magic fireplace from “Order of the Phoenix”, with a figure apparating

My kid opened up today’s door and said “it’s chicken Jesus”! He thought it looked like a chicken nativity scene
