2022 LEGO Advent Calendars, Day 7

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Yes, it’s the holiday season, but it’s also the return of our annual LEGO advent calendar extravaganza. We’ll be opening our calendar windows daily in the run-up to Christmas. Our team will also share their thoughts, comments, observations, and jokes about each day’s builds!

We have five advent calendars this year, across the City, Friends, Star Wars, Marvel (specifically Guardians of the Galaxy), and Harry Potter themes. Let’s get right into it and see what’s hiding behind the doors of day 7, shall we?

City and Friends both get similar builds today: some market stalls. City’s has some Christmas cookies for sale, and Friends is selling a Christmas… Hot-dog?

We get our second miniature UCS set of the Star Wars advent calendar with Luke’s X-34 landspeeder. Harry Potter’s build is another miniature, this time the Knight Bus from the Prisoner of Azkaban. There’s nothing miniature about the Guardians of the Galaxy build though – a whopping great shoulder-mounted cannon for Rocket.

Bart: Nothing says Christmas like a big ass gun.

CJ: I love the landspeeder, and the HP minibus is well done, too. It’s nice to see some film moments show up at this scale at this high level of quality. On the flip side, is that a hot dog altar? What god is that a sacrifice for?

Kyle: CJ, are you not familiar with Frank, the God of Sausages? All condiments unto thee, oh great guardian of bratwurst.

Daniel: My favourite SW build so far, and that Knight Bus is pretty great too.

Chris: Day 5 may have been snooze-worthy, but today has winners across the board. The landspeeder is great, but that tiny Knight Bus is perfect. The other three builds are all solid too.

I know Christmas has its religious connotations already, but this sausage church sounds like it could be a real banger, Kyle…
