Live from Lunar Base One: The Moon Rocks!

Meet The Moon Rocks, the grooviest and most rockin’ band this side of Alpha Centauri! Composed by Julius von Brunk, this LEGO build will knock your socks off with the hard rock jamming coming from this moon base. Check out the station they’re playing at — there are a lot of cool details making up the workings of the space base. The cool bendy tubing on the walls and the rocky foundation are awesome, but take a look at the mosaics. They possess fantastic details despite some plate color limitations. On the left, a window looks at Earth, no doubt experiencing some serious FOMO for the party happening on the moon! On the right is a huge jumbotron screen showcasing the band’s lead singer as they push the speakers to the max.

Meet the band bringing everyone in from across the galaxy! They proudly wear space suits inspired by LEGO’s classic Space theme. I love how the instruments match the three guitarists–some powerful color coordination. And check out those giant speakers on either side of the band! Awesome parts usage with those reflector dishes, and those neon green pieces acting as antennae are sweet. Speaking of neon green, let’s talk about that eye-catching drum set. I can imagine the drums and drumsticks lighting up with each strike. The drummer has a smirk on their face–they know how cool they are!

The gathered crowd in front of the stage cheers and rocks out to the far-out music! Those in attendance come from a range of LEGO’s space themes, from Blacktron to Mars Mission with the green Martians. there’s even a classic space person dressed in red to stand out in the crowd. No doubt they have every album produced by The Moon Rocks.

However, you don’t have to be on the ground to enjoy this concert! Two station workers dance to the music on what looks like a surveillance platform. They sport newer-looking space suits, and I hope they have magnetic boots too!
