LEGO Collectible Minifigures Marvel Studios Series revealed [News]

LEGO has just listed the Marvel Studios Series of Collectible Minifigures online. High-resolution pictures are available at LEGO Shop, revealing 12 super-heroes as seen in the latest Marvel TV series, WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and What If…? The minifigures will be available for purchase on October 1st.

The Marvel Minifigures released are not the characters directly featured from the MCU movies, but instead, from the TV series and the upcoming animated series. Two characters come from the Disney+ Loki series, two more from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and three characters are featured from Wandavision. The remaining five are from the upcoming What If…? stories.

The design of the blind bag showcases 8 of the 12 characters. The backdrop featured in greyscale has Wolverine featured amongst other Marvel Studio characters like Iron Man and Thor which leaves us wondering if the X-Men may be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the future or designers just using images from the general Marvel comic universe.

The 12 figures featured are:

Loki Diskey+ TV Series

  • Sylvie is wielding a green machete and in the first outfit she wore during the reveal with a broken horn and an Alligator Loki (sans the horns)
  • Loki is wearing the Variant outfit and holding a TVA mug with a mini Throg

Wandavision Disney+ TV Series

  • Scarlett Witch wearing the outfit that was featured at the series finale with power blasts in each of her hands.
  • White Vision and a futuristic console with a transparent screen
  • Monica Rambeau with a micro helicopter build

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Disney+ TV Series

  • Sam Wilson with the new Captain America suit with full winged mode activated and the Captain America shield and a Redwing drone.
  • Bucky Barnes with Captain America shield and a knife

What If…? Disney+ Animated Series (upcoming on August 11th 2021)

  • Spider-Man as Sorcerer Supreme wearing the Cloak of Levitation. He comes with an alternate unmasked head and hairpiece. He is also issued with spider webbing strings with end studs.
  • Gamora as the Mad Titan Thanos. She wields a double-edged sword similar to Thanos from the MCU movies.
  • Captain America as a zombie with a tattered suit and a damaged and scratched shield
  • Peggy Carter as Captain Carter with a British version of the suit featuring the union jack flags both on the suit and shield. She also comes with a tesseract made up of two transparent LEGO 1×1 plates stacked
  • T’Challa as Star-Lord with a hairpiece or a Star-Lord helmet option and two blasters.

Glad to see Loki Croc (head set would have made it) but what is the frog thing with Loki?

I have a feeling that we’ll be buying a full box of these. I’ll be keeping an eye out for reports on the distribution found in boxes. :)

FINALLY!!! And these look great! Only a little disappointed in Zombie Hunter Spider-man

Captain Falcon (Show me your moves!) looks tremendous. They even got his back-mounted drone in there, economically! They ALL look tremendous, with the possible exception of Spider-Man in a cape, which just looks like… Spider-Man, so far. I’m not sure what’s up with that one.

Speaking of which, five of these are from the What If…? show, which seems an odd balance, but since I haven’t seen it, I assume there are gonna be a LOT of interesting characters in it. I’m thrilled with the two Loki figs, the three Wandavision figs, and the two Falcon + Winter Soldier figs!

    @Johnny Johnson
The “What If…?” series follows a concept of alternative Marvel universes and timelines, where almost everything goes,so the broad concept naturally lends itself to a varying set of minifigures.

Depending on pricing, I’m likely to pick up a bunch of these, and many of the heads and hairpieces seem generic enough to be used in a custom setting, with hopefully in numbers high enough to produce some decent pricing on Bricklink…
