The latest review qualification round for the LEGO Ideas set a new record at a whopping 57 submissions. These creations have reached the 10,000 supporter milestone and therefore qualify for the First 2021 Review.
The 57 sets achieved the milestone between January 2021 and up to today’s qualifying date, the 3rd of May 2021. The full list of qualifying projects can be found here on the LEGO Ideas Blog Page.
However, the LEGO Ideas team mentions one of the projects was removed from the list due to violating IP guidelines of the platform.
Unfortunately, we’ve had to remove one of the submissions titled “Stadium Tour” that had reached 10,000 supporters. When submitting creations based on intellectual properties it is imperative that members follow the guidelines for intellectual properties that we have, including listing whether or not a submission is based on such if that is the case.

I always cheer for cars, so I’d love to see the Bentley picked. But I feel like a version of it (and Chitty Bang Bang?) were rejected fairly recently. I kinda wish Lego would do a preliminary whittling-down before this stage. Odds are we aren’t getting another Simpsons set and there are two Office submissions. There must be a cleaner way of doing this. But I suppose they want as much participation as possible
The Office twice in one review. Wow. Totoro also has a decent chance if they can get the license from Ghibli, which is notoriously stingy about third-party products.
I would buy the Totoro set, my kiddo adores that movie and I love it too. Besides the office, Id’ say there is clearly some demand for castle! I wonder how the just introduced Creator Great Knight’s Castle might influence things, even though it is a far cry from these ideas sets.
57 decent entries, but you know that Lego will reject 56 of them, and the last one will be changed significantly before being announced as the Ideas product. The chosen one will also not appeal to most people.
Chitty chitty saw it before looks great(although dated subject even for most afol) Like the astronaut and the castle of lord too. Saw some others but a lot of overlap with current sets/themes. The artisan one being the violin, but somewhat of a niche. If it were another rocket a saturn v scale mercury small kit with basic pad would be aces.
The more I look at these again(especially on the big screen at home), the more I like that astronaut-really never covered before while Lego is doing their best space models ever and the Karate Kid setup with the prevalence of Cobra Kai has two generations back in touch.
That chitty car still looks fantastic though, although I doubt we would ever get that much chrome and brass. If those techniques were used to build a Bentley Blower(or early Rolls) I’d be all in.
Brickwood Forrest Castle and the Midevil Marketplace are superstars.
One could hope that, at some point, LEGO would restrict the use of IPs, so that some of the amazing originals ideas would get more attention.
