LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71029 Series 21 Feel Guide [Review]

The new year is here, and with it comes a new series of minifigures. LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71029 Series 21 are now available, and with just 12 unique minifigures this time around, be sure to read our full review to get the scoop on which you’ll want. The good news is that if you want a full set, that’s easier than ever. Long-time collectors know that with some nimble fingers and bit of patience, you can tell what each pack contains before you pay a dime. This means you can get full set with no duplicates, saving your hard-earned cash for other stuff (like the 100+ new LEGO sets for 2021). We’ve compiled a handy Feel Guide to help you on your quest that contains all the info you need to get started.

LEGO Collectible Minifigures 71029 Series 21 are available now for US $4.99 | CAN $4.99 | UK £3.49. They may also be available from third-party sellers on Amazon and eBay.

If you’re not sure if you want a full set or just a few of your favorite characters, be sure to check out our in-depth review of LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 21. After 20 regular series coming in retail cases of 60 minifigures, LEGO has adjusted the case size for Series 21, with standard cases containing just 36 minifigure packs. Usually we include a chart showing how many of each character you can expect to find in a case, but with 12 unique characters in Series 21, each case contains exactly three complete sets of characters, meaning for the first time ever, every figure is equally available. It also means that splitting a case with a few friends becomes even easier, although as yet LEGO is not directly offering cases for sale. However, many are available on eBay, and some are even cheaper than the retail cost of a full case (which is approximately $180 for 36 packs).

As with our previous guides, we’ve actually already sorted a full case by feel alone, so the guide isn’t based on guesses, but rather on our own direct experience. The elements we call out in the guide aren’t the only way to ID the figures, but we believe they are the easiest for most people.

Please practice responsible minifigure hunting and respect local and store guidelines for touching merchandise. Always sanitize your hands before and after touching packs.

You know, in these Corona times, I’m not sure if there even are shops that would ‘allow’ the feeling anymore…
