Happy holidays to all of our fellow LEGO builders! As is tradition, we at The Brothers Brick will be opening our advent calendars as we count down to Christmas. We’ll also be sharing commentary on each one, which will be both insightful and hilarious!

This year we have new Harry Potter, Star Wars, City and Friends advent calendars to open. We will be sharing images of the new calendars every day through Christmas, and hope that you’ll join us! Let’s see what there is to open on Day 21.

Another musical day from the Harry Potter calendar, revealing a microphone and sheet music. From Star Wars, we opened a snowman Gonk droid.

Adam: If Olaf and a gonk droid had a baby…

Lino: The Krunk-Bot 3000 sings all your favorite holiday tunes so you don’t have to.

Benjamin: I just hope the bot snowman can sing show tunes better than I can, ‘cause I’m throwing down a karaoke challenge.

Jasmine: The carrot placement on the Abominable Snowman is weirding me out.

Bart: That droid snow man is a true abomination. Luckily snow melts!

Chuck: Very much anticipating an “um, papa, WHAT?” reaction when the 10yo opens this door on the SW calendar…

CJ: Entering the home stretch, and we get a bit of a letdown with the Harry Potter offering. The music stand and microphone mesh well with the piano and general party theme we’ve seen, but they’re just less impressive builds than we’ve seen on previous days.  The printed music is a nice bonus, though. The Gonk Droid is…well, that’s a thing, isn’t it? It earns a holiday point for sure, but will also live in my nightmares. That carrot looks…very uncomfortable.

When we opened the City door for today, we found a trailer! Friends gave us a fun snowmobile.

Alexander: Am I the only one seeing a cute rabbit in this snowmobile? Here are four legs, and long ears pointing backwards, and even a small white tail!

Lino: And just like that Bubba was cut off from making any more online purchases.

CJ: Getting a trailer for yesterday’s truck cab is a nice way to build up some steam here at the end. Particularly as that connection point on the rear suggests even more could be added on to this build. A late-in-the-set snowmobile is a LEGO advent tradition, so seeing one arrive in the Friends calendar is no big surprise. I do like the festive colors, and that scores today a holiday point.

Benjamin: I like how this fits on the truck from yesterday. Wonder what it’s going to haul?
