New 2021 Star Wars lineup revealed with X-Wing, TIE Fighter, Millennium Falcon Microfighter & more [News]

LEGO unveiled today four new sets from the 2021 Star Wars lineup. Two iconic vehicles, the X-Wing and TIE Fighter, along with a single Millennium Falcon Microfighter (Series 8) are the latest January 2021 sets to be revealed, following 75299 Trouble on Tatooine from The Mandalorian that we got a look at a few days ago.

Don’t miss the other new sets for 2021:

Check out the new Star Wars sets below.

75301 Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing Fighter | 474 Pieces
US $49.99 | CAN $69.99 | UK £44.99

This new X-wing comes with three minifigures: Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and General Dodonna (for the first time in LEGO minifigure form) and an R2-D2 LEGO droid.

75300 Imperial TIE Fighter | 432 Pieces
US $39.99 | CAN $49.99 | UK

The set comes with three minifigures: a TIE Fighter Pilot with a blaster pistol and Stormtrooper with a blaster, plus an NI-L8 Protocol Droid.

75295 Millennium Falcon™ Microfighter | 101 Pieces
US $9.99 | CAN $13.99 | UK £8.99

The second Millennium Falcon Microfighter that LEGO’s released, this version shows the classic trilogy Falcon with its round dish. Of course, it features original-trilogy Han Solo.

75298 Tauntaun & AT-AT Microfighters

The fourth set that we’ve spied can be seen on the back of the Millennium Falcon box, and as yet we don’t have better pictures. But 75298 features a brick-built Tauntaun with Luke Skywalker and an Imperial AT-AT with a Pilot.

These are great – I’m glad to see an effort being made to put these models into the sort of price range that kids and the parents of kids won’t balk at. EU108 for the latest Poe Dameron X-Wing was way over the top.

The brick built tauntaun is pretty cool. The LEGO designers have to be getting tired of redesigning the X-wing and TIE fighter by now I would think, but they must still be selling well. They wouldn’t be making them otherwise, right?

Tie/Xwing/falcon are iconic star wars ships (and there really aren’t that many in total, 12? 15?) These are the sort of things that you should expect to always have version of in production. I’m not going to buy another Falcon (I swear, I’m telling the truth this time), but it makes sense that there should be one available.
How about that AT-AT and taun taun tho? Love it.
