Regarding the 3D printing notices, some of that may have come down due to trademark infringement. That “LAWGO” logo (or pretty much anything that’s styled after the red square LEGO logo) for sure is the type of thing that will get unwelcome attention from lawyers, but if any of these parts had the LEGO logo molded onto the studs, that would cause some pushback as well. And that’s the sort of thing they have no choice but to defend. If someone can demonstrate that they’ve failed to do so, they could challenge the trademarks in court and get them stripped like what happened to Bayer with “aspirin”. They don’t have to succeed 100% of the time, but they do have to be able to demonstrate that they made an honest effort.
