International Space Station voted as winner of LEGO Ideas Extraordinary 10 Year Anniversary Fan Vote [News]

The votes have been tallied, and the winner of the LEGO Ideas Extraordinary 10 Year Anniversary Fan Vote is the International Space Station by XCLD.

International Space Station by XCLD

According to the rules of the Fan Vote, the winning idea will be turned into an official LEGO set. The model is likely to be revised and finalized by the LEGO Ideas designers, but XCLD made sure to make the ISS on the same scale as the space shuttle from the LEGO Ideas 21312 Women of NASA set. As usual, details on price and availability have yet to be announced.

You can see the all four candidates below and read the announcement post on the LEGO Ideas blog.

    I am quite happy about that set being selected. Had I voted, I would have chosen this one.

    Space sets have always been quite popular.

    The Stitch set was the only marketable one. The ISS is the only one I was sort of interested in, but I doubt they’re going to make it large enough to really fit the needs of the structure — it is so spindly that a good ISS set would have to be over four feet across.

    @Exxos
    Perhaps it’s fixed by… it being fixed.

    Instead of rotating play features, the model would be in a fixed position, ao as it’s barely available to move…

    Please make it bigger than the space shuttle in Women of Nasa set. If you’re going to release an iconic marvel it is worthy on a larger scale.. like the Saturn V set or bigger!!!

    This is great news. I missed out on getting the micro scale 7467-1 ISS back when it was released and that set now sells for a surprising amount on BrickLink, eBay, etc. Hopefully this new set will be a good alternative.
