LEGO BrickHeadz 41597 Go Brick Me customizable kit revealed at New York Toy Fair 2018 [News]

The LEGO BrickHeadz line of big-headed characters seems here to stay, with Star Wars BrickHeadz joining Marvel BrickHeadz and other themes. This morning at Toy Fair 2018 in New York City, LEGO revealed a new 41597 Go Brick Me set that provides a range of parts and encourages builders to create customized BrickHeadz.

The set is scheduled for release on April 1st and includes 708 pieces for $29.99 (a screaming deal if there ever was one).

The set’s box showcases the broad variety of parts that the set includes, from pieces to build a BrickHeadz version of yourself to accessories like electric guitars to magic wands. The photos on the side of the box make it clear that LEGO intends for you to build a custom version of yourself, with parts for a variety of skin tones and hair colors.

Check out our video walking through the various components of the set.

The core (no pun intended) of the set is a “blank” white BrickHeadz character, providing builders with an opportunity to learn the fundamental building techniques of creating characters in this style.

In addition to the “blank” BrickHeadz, the set includes parts in a huge range of colors and shapes. Browns and tans reflect the variety of skin tones people have, with plenty more brown, black, yellow, and other colors for hair.

In addition to parts for skin, hair, and clothing (though it looks like there’s enough brick to build a naked BrickHeadz of yourself), the set includes a number of fun accessories, like a laptop and briefcase for your work self and an electric guitar for your rockin’ party self.

Two completely new parts (with new molds, not just an existing part in a new color) provide optically challenged builders like me with round and square eyeglasses.

Finally, a sticker sheet gives builders the ability to add even more detail to their BrickHeadz character, from a red bandana to what appear to be tattoo designs.

Totally agree! I’m planning on picking up a couple and making new avatars for myself — this one I think is about 15 years old…

Wow, this is a must-have. Perfect merger of BrickHeadz and getting back to LEGO basics, with a fantastic price.
