Those are both super nice, and super clean builds. But the presentation on the second one takes the cake. Rarely does brown look so awesome.

I’ve gotta give it to the roadster for creative parts usage. The 55 ford is nice but I’ve seen that kind of thing plenty of times before. And I honestly can’t really spot any overly creative use of parts, just parts used to make a whole well. While the roadster being smaller packs way more NPU punch. A minfig briefcase for a bumper? Sold! The roadster does way more with far less making every piece go miles farther I’d say.

Even if I were not a huge fan of Calin’s work, I’d still vote for him. I’m really not good at building cars, so I am also very impressed by the 55 Ford Fairlane, but the Roadkill looks so elegant as if it wasn’t build by LEGO parts at all.

This was a hard round, but the Roadkill gets my vote for its superior parts usage, awesome lighting, and great amount of detail.

Tough round. The Black Widow appeals to me more from a subject matter point of view (I love 50s and 60s-era classic cars), but, after 15 rounds, the judges award a split decision to Roadkill based on its creative parts usage and excellent presentation.

Honestly Keith, I really just wanted to thank you for actually describing again which model won last week. (It can be easy to confuse which name went with which avatar and which model; but when you say “clown fish and frog,” I don’t have to look back at last week’s post and ask: “Now which one was that again?”)
While I’m at it though, I guess I better vote, and I’m gonna have to be that one guy that makes everyone say: “What?!” While I don’t deny the nice presentation and NPU of the roadster, I must say there’s really not much to it; and in any case, I much prefer a classy car styled after one of my favorite spiders than a hot-rod whose engine is so over-sized that the driver can’t see a blooming thing out his windshield.
[Alright, you can all kill me now.]

The 55 Ford uses curved and sloped pieces skillfully to prevent a large model from devolving into a blocky mess. It is a fantastic model, but my vote goes for the Roadkill. The presentation, piece choice, and use of brown in something that is not steampunk make it a winner.

The Roadkill and NPUs are awesome and well presented.. but Im going for the 55 Ford Fairlane,, the curves are just gorgeous..
