“I can think of no more stirring symbol of man’s humanity to man than a fire engine.”

So said Malachi Constant in Kurt Vonnegut Jr.’s “Sirens of Titan“. Malachi would no doubt have been a fan of Alex Jones’s (Orion Pax) latest creation the Seagrave Fire Engine. The model features a number of custom chrome elements, but if you stripped it all away or replaced it with a more purist solution, the model would be no less stunning.

And since it is just after 4:20 here in Vegas, I figured I’d throw in some extra Paxian eye-candy for the stoners out there. Enjoy “Emerald Ivy

I have that book here, the May ’74 printing. Why does everyone keep leaving off the Jr. from his name.

    Beautiful models.

Because I’m an idiot and I forgot the Jr. Fixed, thanks for the catch. I wish I had your ’74 edition, I have an e-book version, but it is hardly the same as having the artifact.

Don’t worry, yours was fixable. What bugs me is when they do it on film, when the character should know better but the actor doesn’t.

The e-books just can’t compare. The feel of the page, the smell of the well worn books, and being able to fall asleep with the book in hand, all pleasures that are lost with e-books. And then there are the old books that never had the widespread appeal to be converted, but are worth the read.

These builds here would also be better in hand than on the screen.
