Drone Combat Scout Helicopter 18

I don’t know why, but I’ve been on a real dark-bley building kick lately. That means I seem to just keep adding creations to the Iron Mountain Legion’s arsenal, which is starting to turn into a largish group. This time, it’s another dual-rotored helicopter. I just love this configuration, even if the blades don’t mesh.

Some may say that building all in one, neutral, color is “easy” and perhaps a “cop-out” to avoid having to think about color I say that while this may be the case, it still looks good. It also makes sticker usage come to the forefront, as that’s where most of the contrasting color (mostly white in this case) comes from. There is a little bit of yellow and blue on this sucker, but apparently none of the photos are of that side of the chopper.

It also turns out that trying to photograph something with even a tiny bit of yellow on it against a yellow backdrop is a disaster.

Am I the only one who finds it a tad bit nepotistic to post every Iron Mountain Legion creation? I love ’em alll, but still.

Even with that encouragement, I don’t blog everything I build. I try to limit it to bigger or better things. Right now, I’m at the tail end of a building spree, though, and have posted a lot of stuff lately. I don’t have anything in progress right now, though, so you can expect a lull in my own stuff showing up for awhile. Fortunately, there are plenty of great things being posted that I can blog.

I for one enjoy seeing Dan present his MOC’s here as they are always interesting builds & the presentation is top class. But I must say I most enjoy reading the write-ups, as they often give valuable insights into both the creative & presentation processes.

Andrew – Close enough, I think you get what I mean.

All else – I agree to disagree. Have a nice day, everyody.

I think we’d take your feedback more seriously if you weren’t hiding behind the mask of complete anonymity. At least have the courage to say what you have to say using a unique screen name…

I think xanonymousx is actually this person http://www.flickr.com/photos/hi-lo/ on flickr. I think it’s a unique screen name, not actual anonymity. Not that it really matters. I don’t want to start a flame war, but I must say that I think it takes two or more people to agree to anything. Anyways, I shouldn’t be looking at the blog here at work, so I’ll go back to having a typically lame day here.
