The United States may be very happy with al the official LEGO stores opened there. I think it’s now time to build some more in Europe! (:

    Yeah, seriously.
Cram a little store somewhere in the Netherlands. I know we’re a small country, but I’m sure there’s an old empty windmill you can use, or some dike that hasn’t been built on yet.

But in all seriousness. More European LEGO stores!
Unless the Netherlands already has one, which I’m not aware of? But a google search came up zilch, so…

All good things come to those who wait, and I’ve waited years for the store in my area. Meanwhile, we should be happy for the folks who are getting a store near them. I’m sure the company is aware of their business locations.

I am happy for those who are getting stores near them but I can’t believe that the Long Island, NY area is being ignored. I know there was a store on LI a few years back (before I emerged from my Dark Age) but it has been closed for over 3 years now. Not even a store in Manhattan. TRU did have Brick Central Terminal (Pick a Brick wall) in its flagship Times Square store but that has been removed. The closest LEGO Store to me is about a 3 hour round trip and about 25-30 bucks in tolls. At least I go to Disney World in the summer so I can go to the Downtown Disney LEGO Store there.

LEGO is doing a great job increasing their presence in the States but how much longer can they ignore the 5 Boros and Long Island?

    Five!

    1) Woodfield Mall
    2) LEGO Discovery Center in Shaumberg
    3) Northbrook
    4) Michigan Ave
    5) Orland Park

As the staff at Michigan Ave and Woodfield recognize me when I walk in, I’ll have to start hitting Orland Park! ;)

As a native Long Islander, I can’t agree with notenoughbricks’ statement enough. After coming back from Boston, with 3 LEGO stores within a half-hour drive, the deficiency of attention to the New York/Long Island area is really surprising. There is a store in West Nyack, but that place is kinda in the boonies if you know what I mean, and a real pain to get to.

A store somewhere in Nassau County would serve Suffolk, Nassau, and the boroughs all well IMO.

I know its unfair to people to who live in areas with no Lego stores but here I have 2 in my state and they aren’t close to me.

    Heres a break down:
I live in Maryland, about 5 minutes from the Penn border. The Lego store in Penn is 2 and half hours away. The new one opening in Baltimore(area) is 1 and a half hours away. The one in Annapolis is an hour and 45 minutes away. Still, according to google maps by car, the Lego store nearest to me is the one in Tysons Corner, Virginia at an hour and 20 minutes away.

I know I really shouldn’t be complaining about it, I am very lucky compared to most. I just want a Lego store in my town…We have an Outlet mall, doesn’t Lego need another “Outlet” store?
