Registration now open for BrickWorld 2009, June 18-21 in Chicago [News]

Registration is now open for BrickWorld 2009, the annually held LEGO convention in Chicago. Last year the event attracted around 300 attendees and dedicated 20,000 square feet of ballroom space to display their amazing LEGO creations. For only $50, you can register for this four day event hosted at the luxurious 5 star Westin Hotel & Convention Center.

You can check out photos from previous years’ conventions on the Flickr pool. Also, you can read my last year’s overage of the event on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Of course, I’ll be planning to attend this year’s BrickWorld, and I hope to see some you there!

Brian is mentioned in three consecutive posts. He is the man. Just thought I’d point that out.

So, Nannan, we gonna room together if I make it there this year?

Wow, thanks for all the coverage guys, but couldn’t you have photoshopped Kelso out of that picture? He kinda wrecks the whole composition…;-)

Also, I just wanted to encourage anyone who can, to try and make it to Brickworld this year. I know of a ton of builders who are making plans to be there, and I know I certainly will be. It feels like the convention may really hit it’s stride this year, so if you get the chance, try and make your way out and be part of it.

Andrew, I hope to see you there this year, and Nannan, you darn well better be there. Who else can we trust to infect all those innocent little train layouts with vile Black Fantasy pathogens…

Fair point, Brian. I mean, my stunning good looks really clashes with all that mess of ugly!

…and yes, folks if you attend Brickworld, you can get in on all the smack talk, too! I for one wouldn’t miss it!

Well, someone get to work on Shanny to convince him to bring that badboy out here! ;-)

As far as this years theme, I believe it’s the World of Lights display. Check the link up top for details.
