Why are we even listening anymore? Everyone go to MOCpages and forget about brickshelf. It’s obviously run by someone who isn’t mature enough to run a site. Who knows when he will change him mind again and close it… again.

I dissagree. I believe that Kevin was overwhelmed and didnt know what to do. ” As our costs are billed monthly, any shutdown would occur
at the end of a calendar month…” He is perfectly mature for admiting all of what happened. He says he “underestimated the extent to which things would break on other sites with Brickshelf gone. MOCpages is a lot more complicated and hard to manuver. Brickshelf is the one site for the devoted lego fan. Whether it be a child, a pro builder, or a grandpa intrested in archicture, brickshelf is, and will always be, #1.

I disagree. I have only had problems with Brickshelf. While MOCPAges is not perfect at least it is run by people who know what they are doing and don’t act like children running a tiny little site.

why don’t you go to moc pages then David, you think its easy to keep a website up , well first off its not free and second off hes a grown man he has more things to do than just make you happy maybe little mature David can open a new brick shelf with all his money and brains

Okay, people. I know we don’t all agree about the reliability or future of Brickshelf, or what — if anything — should replace it, but let’s keep this discussion about ideas and solutions, not about the person behind them. Disagreeing with ideas is absolutely okay, but let’s not attack individual people.

I’m glad Jesse showed that he’s a jackass.

The whole thing was handled badly, you have to agree with that. If you don’t then where have you been. Kyle is supposedly a grown man but acted like a 9 year old trying to get out of doing his homework.

David, did you not read my previous comment? Keep this discussion about ideas. Calling Jesse a jackass was out of bounds, just as Jesse was out of bounds for calling you immature. Both of you: Keep this discussion civil, please.

Dunechaser, you’re right: it’s about the bricks. I’m going to get back to building instead of moaning :-)
