Everyone’s favorite charitable outlaw

Growing up, one of my most favorite movies was Disney’s version of Robin Hood. After watching it, my cousin and I would run around pretending to be the famous archer, shooting our toy arrows at impossible targets. Apparently superb builder and LEGO designer, Markus Rollbühler loves the hero too. This sculpture of Robin Hood is excellent, with particularly great posing and parts usage. I’m partial to the bow, myself, but the minifig shoulder armor for the sword guard, palm tree segment for the boots, and large figure shin element for the log are all great too!

Mr. ROBIN’s NeighborHOOD

Hong Kong builder, mamax711 brings us his rendition of Robin Hood’s home. It’s an excellent fit for the medieval rogue, right down to the organic-looking shape of the building, the patchwork, and plant growth. Robin’s home would be well-hidden in a dark forest. I love the non-traditional angles of the walls and roof-lines and would love to see the interior framework holding everything together. Since this is Robin Hood’s house, I am guessing it will have to remain a secret.

Swashbuckling staircase in LEGO style

The Adventures of Robin Hood is a 1938 American swashbuckler film that starred the suave Errol Flynn in the title role. One of the most famous scenes from this movie is the final sword fight between Robin Hood and Sir Guy of Gisborne.  Eggy Pop has built a fantastic LEGO version of this scene that will be instantly recognisable to those who have seen the reference movie. I love the candlestick in the corner and the  specially constructed doors under the arches The real eye-catching design element is the use of larger brick-built stones to construct the elegant, curved staircase.
