Collectible Minifigures Series 5 – first high-res photos

Though low-res and group shots of Series 5 Collectible Minifigs have been circulating for a little while, I think this is the first set of “solo” shots at a high enough resolution to make out details and therefore be worth discussion. Photo hosted by Unknown User2596 (provenance unknown). We don’t know what the official names Continue reading →

Finally, a nemesis worthy of my vast intellect

Following his amazing GLaDOS from Portal 2, Brandon Bannerman (Catsy) miniaturizes a turret to minifig-scale (or near enough), alongside an adorable custom Chell fig, complete with ASHPD. For all of you out there who’d like your own turret to keep you company during the long twilight of civilization, Brandon has kindly posted instructions. Another interesting Continue reading →

How to paint an artist.

Ah, the life of an artist. Glamorous, with paintings selling for millions upon millions, right? Eh, probably not. Unless you’re Picasso, this poor minifig probably won’t see his works reach seven digits in his lifetime. But that’s glamorous, right? All he wants to do is pay for his fantastic flat, that he just cleaned. But Continue reading →

But of course I like nightmares personified!

Actually, I’m going to be honest. Hellraiser is, in fact, one of the many films I haven’t seen. I’m just not big into horror. What I can appreciate, though, is a spot-on custom creation that even I can recognize. This is totally one of those. Fantastic job, capnbootle!

We recently found a list of upcoming series 6 collectible minifigs on a Bolivian toy website. Custom printed minifigs and more from Citizen Brick [Review]

Joe of CitizenBrick.com recently sent me some custom printed LEGO elements to take a gander. A quick glance at his store revealed some interesting and potentially useful parts such as cobblestone tiles and a tattooed minifig. As far as I know, Citizen Brick is one of the few vendors who offer a variety of custom Continue reading →

Cleanup on aisle 5th

Series 4 Minifigures are popping up in stores right now, and Chris McVeigh (powerpig) has gotten his hands on them and featured the perhaps most favorited hazmat guy in a brilliant photo.

More than just a minifigure.

I think it really goes without saying that Morgan190‘s custom minifigures are simply brilliant. It’s nigh impossible to pick a favorite. He’s posted some fantastic ones in the month of March, so rather then suffer the consequences of choosing, I’ll just gather them here.

WhiteFang from Eurobricks has a posted a review of the upcoming series 4 minifigs to be released on April 15. The review also contains the quantity of each minifig per case. I’m sure many of us are dying to see how awesome the Hazmat guy actually looks like (and hope that we get more than Continue reading →

Something Completely Different

A little something cute by Moritz (Nolnet) to balance yesterday’s nightmare clown. It looks like he’s working on a series of these. I dig it, and not just because I’m holding a cute baby while I write this. Ok, so maybe I have cuteness on the brain…

Stormtrooper down

A picture is worth a thousand words, so I’ll let this one by Shobrick speak for itself. Thanks for the tip ~Tac~

Is there a problem, commander?

You don’t need Jedi powers to sense that there’s been a disturbance in the force in Chris McVeigh‘s latest photo.
