The life of a sniper isn’t easy
Nick Dean has included lots of realistic details in this scene illustrating the life of a sniper:
Check out Nick’s photoset on Flickr and see if you can spot them all.

I have no idea what these crazy RAMM names mean. Regardless, obxcrew’s chopper goes “whup whup whup” and seats five minifigs:
While we’re at it, we get a surprising number of search engine hits for “what does LEGO RAMM stand for?” so here’s the answer: Royal Austrian Mechanized Military. And don’t miss RAMM-originator Nick Dean’s own […]
In our third tank-related post of the day (rest assured there are many more we could blog), I’m pleased to present first-time bloggee Daniel Zayac’s Soviet-era T-55 tank:
Check out the working suspension:
Brickshelfer Pepik has quite the collection of German World War II vehicles.
Here’s the Sd.Kfz. 139 Marder III in action on the Eastern Front:

Like Nannan’s Black Fantasy and Tim’s cave racers, Nick Dean’s RAMM theme has become an Internet phenomenon, copied ad nauseum — sometimes successfully, sometimes not.
So it’s always refreshing to see a new RAMM creation from the Feldmarschall himself:
But perhaps Nick is most famous for his future-military vehicles, like this RAMM Bluthund Quadruped:
Gorazd Vahen’s “fist vig” features a very cool little vehicle:
Also check out the Jeep in dark grey:
I’m always impressed when somebody has the patience to rebuild one of their creations in an alternate color scheme.
Brickshelf user Maniac000 (aka McZargåld on Flickr) created a diorama showing what happens when angry townspeople attack. The government forces arrived to find the stage set for an all out street battle, including trenches and barbed wires. Viva La Revolución!
Jehkay’s multi-role fighter may be called “Faerie,” but it looks like it packs quite a punch:
I love the striping on the wings, the “smoke dischargers,” and the engines.
Jas Nagra’s latest tank is smooth and shiny:
See the Brickshelf gallery for more pictures, along with all of Jas’ previous tanks.
Justin Vaughn (Mainman) put good use to some brown Brickarms weapons by putting together a muddy vignette of two soldiers wading their way through the thick mush.
I think it’s come up a couple times.
Ralph Savelsberg continues to amaze the world not just with the quality of his creations but the sheer quantity. The kicker is obvious from the picture above. He keeps many of them built!
His latest aircraft include an AH-1W SuperCobra and F-5E Tiger:
US Navy Sea King and HH-1N […]
If you keep an eye on my Flickr ’stream you might have noticed a couple of work-in-progress shots appearing lately. It’s rare that I’ll do more than one but sometimes I like getting advice along the way. Anyway my model of a Rooivalk (”Red Kestrel”) is now done and I’m pretty happy with how it […]
Smells like…creativity!
(Custom torso and M4/M16 rifle by BrickArms.)
Joriel “Joz” Jimenez (MOCPages) has been hard at work updating his Flickr photostream lately. I keep bookmarking stuff to blog, and then he posts something even cooler.
With squad after squad of great minifigs, Joz is clearly a man after my own heart. Unlike too many “army builders,” he peppers his multitudes with unique units like […]
At BrickCon in October, I learned about the Halo-inspired weapons and the M1 Garand rifle that Will Chapman of BrickArms was working on at the time (see First look at new BrickArms weapons).
Last week, I received my shipment of new 2008 BrickArms weapons, and I’ve been eagerly building and waiting for a break in […]
Andrew Lee gets in on some RAMM action with this awesome hovertank:
Brian Kescenovitz (mondayn00dle) is one of the few builders who usually doesn’t put much color into their models, sometimes conveying the iron/steel utility. Unlike his bulkier mechs, Brian’s latest work is a spindly scout walker called the Sandpiper, constructed with focus to fine detailing mechanisms rather than heavy armor.
Magnus Lauglo adds some serious hardware to his semi-futuristic military with a pair of Jaguar A1 main battle tanks (above — love the arctic camo!) and Dragon helicopter gunship (below).
