Lego Halo Ghost and Banshee by Legohaulic

Tyler shows that you don’t need a pre-designed piece to build a Lego Halo Banshee in minifigure scale. The Ghost and Covenant units are also quite nice.

Reinforcements arrive in style

Raoul Baldwin (Raoulosos) built a giant troop transport craft to carry infantry units and vehicles into the heat of combat. The mix of greens and black creates a camouflaged pattern while the tan interior adds a beautiful contrast.

4-wide microscale RC DAF truck runs on Power Functions

I never cease to be amazed by the ingenuity that builders use to incorporate Power Functions into their LEGO models — in ever-increasing miniaturization. Robert H. (Robiwan_Kenobi) manages to fit a PF motor, RC receiver, and battery box into this fully self-contained DAF truck. Hard to believe? Take a close look at the cutaway in Continue reading →

Mercedes-Benz LO 3500

This 1935 Mercedes bus, by Klaus Dobisch, is incredibly well-designed. The streamlined look is perfect.

Tiger Moth and Cobra spaceships by vinn

Kurt Vinnedge (vinn) has posted a few great spaceships this week and these two are well worth sharing. The first is this A-8 SSIC Cobra, which features a very functional looking cockpit and sensor/weapons array as well as lovely angling up and back toward the engines. The second, the ASSIN-9 Tiger Moth, is an equal Continue reading →

Lego Indy 500 cars

Brian Darrow (bjr2457) built over a dozen of the winning cars from the Indy 500. The custom decals are a winning touch to finish each nifty model. You can see them all on Flickr.

LEGO Serenity from Firefly series

tbone_tbl just finished this rendition of the iconic ship “Serenity” from Firefly and it’s gorgeous! I love that show. Joss Whedon is my master.

Ferrari Dino 246 GTS

Dylan Denton made this. It’s awesome and red. I will only distract you from looking at the picture so I’ll be quiet now.

Karwik hits the road

Karwik’s chopper is a little beauty. It embodies the main element of a good build: Simplicity. It has clever parts use but doesn’t overdo it. All too often builders keep tacking bits onto a build and don’t know when to stop. Karwik does and it shows.

A force to be reckoned with

Andrew Somers shows off his skills with his latest build, the Python. With this tank, he is ready to take on the world.

NASA’s newest Mars rover, Curiosity, created in LEGO form.

Tim Goddard has built an excellent model of NASA’s rover, Curiosity. The details on the rover itself are incredible and the martian landscape jumps right out at you!

All the lovely angles

This space fighter by Jake has a refreshing feel to it. Not only is it loaded with some really nicely-played angles, but the builder has elected to show the studs. With so many builders going for the studless look, it is nice to see someone embrace the studs.

Armoured ECM vehicle

Karf Oohlu just rolled out this bad boy and it is covered in greebly goodness. While I really like the use of the dump truck bed as the armored shell, it is all the bits on the top that make this something special.

LEGO CT-37 from Disney’s TaleSpin

Curtydc has built a nifty version of Don Karnage’s TriWing Terror from TaleSpin. It is fun-looking plane and has a rather SkyFi feel to it. I also hear that it is quite swooshable.
