Steampunk barrel robot smokes and flies
Kevin Fedde Crimson Wolf, built this artificial steam powered intellect (ASPI) for the Flickr Steampunk group’s 100 piece challenge, and I just love it.

Guy Himber (V&A Steamworks) recently kicked off a series of LEGO creations that each incorporate a Knights Kingdom II shield. Guy started with a clockwork lionfish (above) and followed it with an eagle ray (below). As always, Guy combines SYSTEM, Duplo, and Bionicle elements in new and interesting ways.
I put off blogging this lovely floating rock/steampunk city by Kevin Fedde (Crimson Wolf) because Nannan had just just blogged his Field of Dreams. It’s like a lovely steampunk version of 10193 Medieval Market Village: Since then, Kevin has also posted a very cool dune buggy from Red Faction: Guerilla. The red backdrop adds a Continue reading →
This steampunk airship by Daniel García (Evo) may have the most unique shape I’ve seen in quite a while. As cool as the airships that look like, well, ships are, there’s nothing to say that they have to look like ocean-going vessels with propellors or balloons tacked on. With underslung cannons and a prow that Continue reading →
It’s not often that a creation makes me laugh out loud, but this steampunk vessel by, Rod Gillies, did just that. I love that oversized gun, reminds me of the cannons that Lego is always putting in their rowboats.
This Steampunk time machine by Erik Smit is a thing of beauty and a joy in every dimension. The use of floating boat hulls is truly inspired.
After seeing an earlier work in progress, I’ve been eagerly anticipating this lovely steampunk sculpture by Guy Himber (V&A Steamworks). The expression on the moon’s face is priceless. Guy’s HMS Brown Widow, aka “The Flying Rivet” displays his usual attention to detail, with sections of LEGO tubing as rivets on the trailing edge of the Continue reading →
Ken Robichaud posted this, but he says that Nikola Tesla built it. I believe him.
I want one of these! This steampunk halftrack by Massie96 is freakin’ cool. Makes me want to try building Steampunk again…
With this steampunk robot, by Jordan Schwartz, the sky is the limit!
Steampunk master, Rod Gillies, just posted a very sleek airship, which he has christened The Blue Cat. I really like that hull design…
According to Daniel Garcia (Evo), the airship Hermes was the first to be built by the Royal Navy, but was promptly stolen by pirates. Most steampunk airships look like, well, flying ships, but Daniel’s ship has an unusual shape like an enormous flying catamaran.
This steampunk hovercraft by Chase Lewis (Vid) may appear too small to carry any eels, but that won’t stop me from making a ridiculous Monty Python reference. I suspect I will never get tired of referencing that sketch when I post a LEGO hovercraft, so y’all just better get used to it. Ha!
Victor Vitale has set his sights high with this adorable treehouse. And there’s a cuddly teddy bear mechanic too!
Over on Flickr, L.D.M. has posted a very unorthodox space ship. He calls it Steamspace, although I’m not quite sure why, as I don’t see any sort of boiler or steam apparatus. Regardless of how much steam equipment is in this ship, it’s still pretty cool. The shape is just so different from just about Continue reading →
