Amacher Sylvain (aka captainsmog) is no stranger to this blog, and yet again his newest steampunk creation is simply delightful. This time it’s an elevated monorail of the most opulent style. The soot-coloured station and bare girders wonderfully balance the polished wood and ornate embellishments of the car itself, providing a lovely little diorama.
Steampunk impresario Guy Himber is hosting the “Steampunk Rock and Roll” contest, with categories for floating rocks and steampunk trains. With fewer wings than the Red Baron but no less awesome, this little plane by Bartosz Kacprzyk (the oneman) has lots of lovely details, from the raggedy trailing edges of the wings to a spike atop the cockpit. Via YSAB.

It’s not unusual to see a Bram sphere atop a steampunk hot air balloon, but I love the stripes on this one by Thomas Oechsner. The boiler is also lovely, with a photo backdrop that adds a great deal to the presentation.
