Angus Maclane has been building like crazy lately. The craziness has manifested itself as CubeDudes, which appear to be famous characters with cubes for heads. They are adorable! He just posted oodles of these awesome little dudes. Click on the pictures to go to a gallery of related figures.

Legoland California hires 5 new Master Builders [News]

Legoland California just finished their hiring competition and selected 5 new Master Builders, as well as 4 Associate Builders!

Among the finalists are some very deserving builders, including several that will be familiar to Brothers Brick readers.

After participating in a routine job application process, finalists were subjected to a timed, two hour build-off, which narrowed the field down to nine who were offered jobs.

LEGO Watchmen minifigs by Sir Nadroj

We’re not averse to highly customized minifigs here on The Brothers Brick, but I personally prefer a LEGO-only solution when it’s possible.

Jordan Schwartz (Sir Nadroj) shows us that Watchmen characters can be created using a mostly purist approach — with a little help from Photoshop for Dr. Manhattan:

Well, not in the sense that I want them to eat my minifigs’ brains (well, perhaps some of them), but in the sense that zombies make pretty much anything cooler.

The guys from The Big Toy Hut have put together a batch of minifigs inspired by the zombie megafigs by Andrew Bell:

Chandler believes in Harvey Dent

Chandler (obxcrew) takes on Batman nemesis and former White Knight Harvey Dent in a series of five vignettes.

In his first vig, Chandler explores Harvey’s origins as Two-Face:

LEGO Batman: The Video Game now available [News]

LEGO Batman: The Video Game was released this past Tuesday. I’d hoped to play the game and write a review, as I did for LEGO Indiana Jones: The Video Game, but I won’t have time to do that for a couple weeks.

McDonald’s has of course had Happy Meal toys inspired by the game available for a while (very funny photo by FiddybobiddyFiddy):

I’m loving sense of urgency in the this diorama by zgrredek. It has that wacky, silent movie feel. Almost the Keystone Cops turned fireman.

Rong Yiren has a style all his own and I’m a big fan of his Primal Bots. In this scene, he has captured a rare sighting of a polar race of the creatures and their ride.
