Custom LEGO Star Wars Slave Leia minifig

I’m generally not impressed with the results of combining clay or Sculpey with LEGO minifigs, but Peter C. (Pete Corp) has achieved amazing results with this custom minifig of Princess Leia as Jabba the Hutt’s slave girl.

Princess Leia’s armband, bikini, and ponytail are all sculpted from clay — amazing detail at this small scale.

Nanny’s had her scumble

More great custom Discworld minifigs by captainsmog. This time capturing the earthiness of Gytha Ogg and the stern visage of Esme Weatherwax, witches of Lancre.

New Arealight, BrickArms, & HAZEL items, + Minifig World stands [Review]

As my contacts on Flickr will already have noticed, I’ve been posting custom minifigs fairly regularly over the past few weeks, but haven’t posted anything about them here on The Brothers Brick.
That’s because I’m approaching our review of the latest custom accessories a bit differently from the reviews we’ve posted of BrickArms and BrickForge [...]

This is not the future my mother warned me about – Terminator Salvation minifigs

It’s been a very long time since going to see a movie inspired me to build a bunch of minifigs as soon as I got home. I saw Terminator Salvation on Saturday night, and had to build the heroes and their antagonists.

The human Resistance wouldn’t be the same without a couple of T-600 Terminators to [...]

KISS minifigs want to rock and roll all night, and party everyday

These custom KISS minifigs by Jonathan Gilbert (Shmails) have me shoutin’.

Shrooooom!

Yup, Steve Vargo built some shrooms. Pretty cool looking ones too.

There is another picture that captures a rare indigenous mushroom creature as well.
I think they must be pretty big, because he built this lumberjack too. He doesn’t say that they go together….but coincidence? I don’t think so.

He’s got legs!

74louloute is quite the poser, at least with this figure. The combination of unusual joint connections enables this knight, dubbed Sir Hruodland, to strike a rather heroic pose.

I think he’s coming after us, don’t you?

Smug red-shirted LEGO Star Trek minifig won’t survive the away mission

You know it’s true.

legomocs combines LEGO elements in a fairly simple way to achieve perfect brick-built phasers and a tricorder. Combined with the red and yellow torsos, these minifigs are instantly recognizable.
Jamie said it best: “Normally they look too plain, but it’s amazing how nice black pants and a few accessories can make blank [...]

Brick-themed shirts from Glennz Tees

Kiwi T-shirt designer Glenn Jones (Glennz) has created a couple of really sweet shirts featuring little plastic people.

Tee hee! :-D Thanks for the tip, Rob Walker!

Flesh and bones

Not quite as elaborate as the full anatomy of a minifig, this brick-built version by Billy McGill (Mt.Dew Monkey) is equally impressive.

Backward and upside-down

Jamie Spencer (Morgan19) sure knows how to combine minifigs and custom accessories in interesting — and creepy! — ways.

From Yoda’s head on backward to Catwoman cowls for arms, Jamie’s minifigs are full of surprises.
See the full horde of Jamie’s creepy figs on Flickr.

And in his words (slightly edited)

Larry Lars has been posting a series of cool little figures he calls “Larryfigs”. Somewhere between tiny mecha and hardsuits, Larry demonstrates that these offer a wide range of possibility.

V&A Steamworks’ stovepipe hats make steampunk minifigs awesome [Review]

Guy Himber (V&A Steamworks) recently began applying his special effects artistry to his LEGO hobby by producing custom stovepipe hats.

The hats are like hilariously exaggerated versions of the official LEGO top hats, and are absolutely perfect for steampunk and Victorian fantasy minifigs.

Guy was kind enough to send along a couple of the hats for us [...]

LEGO Boy Band!

April Fool’s Day may be over, but that doesn’t stop the shenanigans in the LEGO fan community. The recent announcement of LEGO Rock Band is already inspiring spoofs like this one from Dave Shaddix.
