Mike Nieves built the most realistic grunt from the video game Halo. Better yet, he has made instructions so fans can create their own too!

The CCCV entries just keep pouring in. Mark Stafford’s entry is a fantastical flying ship in golds and blues. There are so many Bionicle parts in this creation that I think it deserves to be in the “Bionicle” category.

The minifig-scale Droideka (or Destroyer Droid) in official LEGO sets kind of balls up, but not really. hyf326 has built a fully functional Droideka from Bionicle. Okay, it doesn’t actually roll around and go “pew pew!” Still cool though.

The latest LEGO creation inspired by Aliens is one built mostly from Bionicle by Jeff Ranjo. (Via Klocki.)

If you think Bionicle creations are all about Toa and Rahi and other things the average SYSTEM builder would never care about, you’re not a reader of Arpy’s BioniBlog, where I ran across this excellent rose by MuffinToa — an entry in the latest Bionicle Building Contest BZPower.

Brickshelfer MischiefMecha presents a mecha that demonstrates a nice integration between Bionicle and SYSTEM pieces.

Kopakashau presents a creation called “Tohu”.
I’ll let mastergongfu do the talking on this one: “Not much Bionicle gets blogged, nor does it genrally deserve to get blogged, but this one I found on Brickshelf is superb.”

BrickFest 2007 wrapped up on Sunday, but I’ve been so busy I haven’t had a chance to sit down and reflect. Well, here goes.
Highlights for me:

Hanging out with all the great people in the extended LEGO community — both from The LEGO Company and fellow fans.

I’m home sick today after BrickFest, but let’s see if I can do a little catchup without saying anything too embarrassing…
First up, a “Heavy Trooper” by Jehkay that integrates Bionicle pieces very nicely.
