Leo Chu (Bad Leo) takes a bunch of angular bricks and creates one of the most irregularly shaped entities in Hayao Miyazaki’s universe — the castle in Howl’s Moving Castle. Ericmok delivers even more Miyazaki goodness with his microscale rendition of Laputa from Castle in the Sky. My favorite visuals in many Miyazaki films are the clouds, and Eric’s LEGO version of Laputa is one of the few to include this key element of the movie.

Don’t ask me why I keep finding sci-fi creations that can pass for cute lately. Perhaps the holiday season is making my heart soft. Regardless, here’s an interesting, and cute, take on a Fuchikoma, by Dane Erland.
Julian Fong (levork) has made a set of nine DC Comics superheroes for Creations for Charity. Each features custom-designed waterslide decals and an acrylic finish. They’re one-of-a-kind minifigs whose quality is among the best I’ve seen. You can check out more of Julian’s works on Flickr. UPDATE: They’re all sold out!

Though I am not familiar with the subject, this articulated master-piece by Mike Nieves really strikes a chord. It never ceases to amaze me how much personality can be portrayed with these little things we call LEGO.
It takes at least a second look at GYUTA K.‘s Gundam to appreciate this creation. I personally like the transforming core fighter chest piece, which you can see in the gallery on MOCpages.
Peter C. (PeteCorp) based this Gundam model not on the series but on the 1:1 scale model found in Shizuoka. He’s also made a descriptive video (longer youtube version) for it. Utterly exceptional work at such a tiny scale.
Adrian Drake (Brickfrenzy) is bringing his colossal super robot Raideen to our Big in Japan display at BrickCon. I think it will look very nice standing next to Mark Sandlin’s Mazinger Z, both of which are based off the Teknomeka frame.
