Tribal Trouble and a game called MOCtag

If you’re not a frequent visitor of MOCpages, then you’re missing out on a fun game called MOCtag invented by Shannon Young. Basically, a builder makes a creation to depict part of a story, then he tags another builder to continue the story with another creation. The game is currently in its fifth installment, with […]

Jungle cave racing

In response to the animals cave racing contest, SlyOwl creates a scene of cave racing in the jungle where animals take part in the precarious game.

LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures Video Game Demo now available!

Yep, you read that right! The demo for the new LEGO Indiana Jones video is now available for download here. Brace yourself, it’s nearly 470 MB, but I’m sure it’s worth it (I’m about halfway through downloading it as I write this post). I can’t wait to play! What a great way […]

I am just going outside and may be some time…

Alan Saunders illustrates the moments after Antarctic explorer Lawrence Oates spoke his famous last words. I love the miniature camp in the background.

Step aside Johnny?

This could all just be hearsay, but a short article on CoolToyReview.com claims LEGO will be producing sets based upon the upcoming Indiana Jones IV film.  Does this mean Johnny Thunder’s adventures are over?

Excavation by Barbara Werth

I’m a sucker for archaeologically themed LEGO. As Bruce says, Barbara Werth gets credit for being the first to incorporate the new skeleton horse into a LEGO vignette.

Pippin Reed: 2084

Dennnis Coh is participating in the FBTB Forums R-Wing contest, but what caught my eye was his minifig pilot:

With a great brick-built weapon and excellent color coordination, Dennis’ version of Pippin Reed is smokin’ hot.
(Only after typing up the Technorati tags below did I notice just how much of a mashup this minifig is: With […]

Mike Psiaki’s Adventurers Truck

There’s no question Mike Psiaki builds cool stuff. I just wasn’t expecting what I found when I clicked the thumbnail for this Adventurers-inspired truck:

I won’t say anything more so as not to spoil the surprise.

Steampunk + Mecha = Even Sweeter!

I blogged Izzo’s ninja mecha a few days ago, but he’s continued posting new mecha since then. Here’s the latest, a steampunk mecha titled “Tin Machine,” driven by none other than the Adventurers theme’s archvillain, Sam Sinister:

Lord Sinister’s Half Track by Mark Stafford

In addition to his creations inspired by H.P. Lovecraft, Mark Stafford’s Adventurers folder includes several cool vehicles. Here’s a new one, a half-track for Sam “Lord” Sinister:

Be sure to check out his other vehicles:

More Lovecraftian LEGO from Mark Stafford

Mark Stafford continues adding new creations to his ongoing mashup of the LEGO Adventurers theme and the Cthulhu mythos from H.P. Lovecraft’s science fiction. A recent update includes “Offspring of Shudde M’ell“:

Indiana Jones Minifigs by jp-30

From Bricks to Bothans Forums user jp-30 has posted some quite wonderful Indiana Jones minifigs. What sets these apart is the presentation (nudge nudge, folks!) — good photography combined with nice image manipulation.

Total awesomeness. Here’s the full gallery on Photobucket.com.

Speaking of photography, new (I think) Brickshelf user Ertu has posted some interesting pictures inspired by the Adventurers theme:
