One variation on this theme would be to find out if the dyes in Lego bricks change their strength. I work as a ski instructor and have been told that certain brands of racing ski boots are particular colours because adding the dyes can stiffen or soften the plastic used in the shells of the boots.

I can’t believe I never thought of putting a lego brick in a hydraulic ram, we have one at school. I must say, the result is great, suprising but completely logical.
I think someone should repeat the experiment with a MEGABLOK, I’d like to know (see) there’s a difference :P

I’m considering attempting the old “how many bricks does it take to stop a bullet” experiment. Need to find a high speed camera though…
