After seeing it in person, it's kind of a mixed bag for me.

It's certainly a bigger set than previous years, almost to a fault. It looks great on its own, but I worry that it will overshadow the smaller buildings a little.
Some very nice detail on the inside, but the interior ceiling/roof doesn't have a finished quality to it, taking away from the overall effect. Plus, if you display the set somewhere, you generally won't see all that nice detail.

As Carl said, the figs are run of the mill. I like the igloo and wood shed, and the plow is great. Overall, it's a nice set, but I hope they return to form next year with a slightly smaller, less expensive set.

Got nothing against paying for more pieces. Just why add all those extra pieces to push up the price when they've managed to keep it very consistent for several years in a row? It makes no sense.

I'm sure it could have done without the igloo or at the very least the little wood shed and a few other details. Did it need as many minifigs? Let's face it, they're not exactly exclusives. The one blue female torso from last years and the green torso from last year's advent calender aside...

When you've got all your kids Christmas presents to buy not long after, this is just a price jump too far. I cannot justify the cost for my own selfish hobby. It's alright when you don't have a mortgage and a family to buy for.

Yeah, it doesn't look a heck of a lot bigger, but it does look bulkier for sure. I have the post office set, and it's definitely wider. The post office actually felt kind of cheap to me, but this looks like a more substantial building.

You guys do realize that this set comes with almost double the pieces that the other three have, right?

The only thing I'd like to have explained is why, even though the U.S. dollar is worth slightly less than the Canadian dollar at the moment, we're being charged $30 more for it.

I've been collecting these sets since the train, they are always so cute. 100 dollars is quite a jump compared to the others. Luckily, for me, these come out in October when my birthday is so I can spend Lego gift cards on them.

£89.99!? Bloody hell. That's a bit of a difference in price compared to the previous winter village sets. I'm sorry TLG, it's a lovely set but you've priced me out of the market with that little bombshell.
