Stunning in Red
This spindly mech by Kahan Dare (aka tadashistate) brings a bold look and a bit of flair as it poses cheekily. Kahan also proves his style with a spot of lovely photography using a simple background that accentuates his model.

I wouldn’t say the background is simple — if you look closely, you can see the whole room behind it! :P

Ah, you’re right. I’m on a different monitor than the one I posted this from, and it appeared solid black before. Well, it’s nothing a little photoshop can’t fix.

Lol, I used photoshop to see that, you must have a bright monitor!

Yeah, I can’t see it at all. I was just going to say that this is a great example of how an all-white background isn’t always the best way to showcase a LEGO model. In this case, the black at the top of the image sets off the white flags very nicely. Similarly, an all-black background wouldn’t have looked as believable, since the figure wouldn’t appear to be standing on anything. Very nicely done.

Ya, Nannan, I was on my netbook later, which I’ve never bothered to adjust accurately.

The background does look wonderful when I tilt my monitor up. :P

I was worried about the background not being black but no matter how I tilted my monitor when I was editing it, it looked completely black. Bummer.
