Ah, I see thank you.
Our definitions are different.
We are allowed to use any official part in our builds, however, they can be colour changed to any official colour pallete range.
The theory behind this is, that if it were to be an official set, these changes "could/would" be made.Thankfully we are not limited to a numerically low colour/part change ratio as the LEGO designers can be per set.
Its also the same principal for us for printing / sticker work, hence the printed 2x2 tile

"as it uses all official elements, just some in different colours to what they are currently produced in?"

Personally I'd call that an 'unofficial element' as it means the model can't be built as is. It used to be a sort of agreed practise among CAD builders that you'd state any parts that didn't exist for real in case someone tried to build your MOC. Not that I'm saying you should do that but it fits with the 'unofficial' line.

The colours are in ABS as we only use the LEGO colour pallete range.
Thank you for the blog, I'm not sure what is meant by "just about all the parts" being official elements though, as it uses all official elements, just some in different colours to what they are currently produced in?
