It was the first Brickvention I have attended and I was really impressed with the quality of the MOC’s.

So much so that I have been inspired to begin working on my own MOC that I hope will be worthy of displaying at next year’s event – wherever it is held!!!

There was a huge line to get in, the bottle neck related to the maximum number of people allowed in the venue at any one time for fire regulations, not the pace of ticket sales…

I will put video up in a few days on youtube under the SydLUG account. I got video of 90% of the MOCS, just got to edit down from 1.5 hours!!

Unfortunately, despite attending, and enjoying the last 2 Brickventions, after waiting 45 minutes in the queue, and *barely* progressing 1 block length (with still 3 sides of the block left to go!), we pulled out.. a 2.5yr old nephew wouldn’t have lasted!

And we arrived at 10.05am too!
Other friends who were just behind us stayed put, and reported a 2hr, 10min wait!

Oh well.. not blaming anyone, except for the popularity of these little plastic bricks!!

Hopefully next year it could be held in Jeffs Shed… and maybe prepaid tickets could ease the entrance congestion! (I’d buy in advance, if I knew I had no-wait to get in!!)

Excellent photos and video! a credit to the organizers for such a popular event!
