Window of the Chapter House in Lego

Romão and his students built the Window of the Chapter House (Janela do Capítulo) at the Convent of the Order of Christ in Portugal. At first I didn’t know what it was and thought of it as a biomechanical sci-fi sculpture similar to the brick-built Li II. I’m happy to have found out otherwise and learn some history in the process.

  1. As far I know, this is a commissioned project by “Projeto Construir” (http://www.projectoconstruir.pt/public/projecto/info/id/2). Romão, member of the Comunidade 0937, was the man that planned this model, the same guy behind of the Cathedral of S. Macario (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=344924).

  2. Yeah, I can assure the man behind this project was Romão. Romão built this window with the help of a students class, and jldgomes is a student from that school.

  3. I updated the post with the new info.
