I don’t think that is the case these days that events pay for Lego staff to attend. I know that these folks have their own travel budgets and pay for their travel and lodging out of that. Some events still comp registration fees for these folks, but I’m also aware of some occasions when Lego has insisted on paying these, to help keep the event solvnt.

That’s just crazy. I had no idea LEGO made those kinds of demands.
