i dont want the star wars license to go out, isnt it the longest running theme out of all of lego? shouldnt that count for something? anyways i think that palpatines shuttle looks really cool, the turbo tank would be nice if it didnt look cheap on the bottom, came with at least 2-3 more clones and more accessories

Hm. So if Boba has a new helmet and new cape… should we assume he has a new jetpack? A separate piece, maybe? Hmm! That Slave I is very nice, but it appears to be almost exactly the same model as the previous version. With some stickers/printing and flick-fire missiles. The new minifig stuff is all very cool, though.

And I want to see that Wampa’s face.

Lego Star Wars brought me out of my dark ages back in 1999 and it’s still the theme I collect most sets of, so I’m slightly biased towards this theme. I’ll probably get most of these sets too. Still, I probably wouldn’t shed a tear if the license ends in the near future: it’s been good to Lego and helped them through a rough patch, but right now we’ve really seen all there ever could be made… at least twice.

@Daedalus: The Han Solo carbonite brick is a one piece mold, with additional molding on the inside/underside to accomodate the Han Solo minifig (the hands can clip on two “handlebars”). It’s a big prefab piece, but it’s clever…

Im getting Grievous Starfighter for sure, the Slave 1 and the Wampa Attack!

The light blue color for Plo’s starfighter makes it look cheap.

I believe the Star Wars license has been a great influence in Lego’s new tecnology development, pieces evolution and complexity.

Yeah the prices are nuts. This is why LEGO Star Wars has to end soon, the first Slave 1 was $20 and by the time it ends it will be $120.

$80 for Slave I is insane. Last model had 40 fewer pieces (though more figs) and cost $30 less. If you go on price/parts ratio that’s exactly a 50% price increase. I don’t think i’ve seen higher. It’s a smart move though, as I really do want that set, almost enough to pay such a price.

GG starfighter is awesome in terms of set AND parts AND price. Way to go Lego.

The turbo tank has some sort of technic beam coming out of the middle of it. Perhaps so it can be carried by the (expensive!) 10195 dropship?

It’s too hard for me to tell, but is the carbonite Han a 3D mold? If it is, that’s pretty sweet; if not, it’s a pretty good looking sticker. Either way, I’m liking it.
