LEGO Hero Factory teaser
This video that introduces the upcoming Hero Factory line in summer 2010 looks pretty cool with its dramatic animations, but I couldn’t help but notice that the narrator mentioned hero 10 times throughout the ~1 minute clip. I have a hunch I’ll be hearing this word a lot more than Bionicle in the months ahead.

Yeah! He did! It seemed like more. The most ridiculous part is the phrase “Hero Factory heroes.”
I could be wrong, but I don’t recall ever hearing any Bionicle sets actually referred to as robots. All the Bionicle narrative (which I blocked out as best I could) was about monsters and villagers and completely non-robotic beings, even though everybody had hydraulic pistons in their limbs. It’s refreshing that they’re finally out of the robo-closet with these new guys.

So, let me get this straight. They build Heroes at the Hero Factory? Those would be the Hero Factory Heroes? I’m glad you posted this for our edification. You’re my hero, Hero.
I’m going to call my Hero Hiro when I get my hero from the Hero Factory.

I am kind of surprised you’ve posted this video, for two reasons:
1) Commercials are not usually posted here…
2) I do not see most of the AFOL Bionicle community fawning over these…only the kids, who do not read TBB.

I’m sad they don’t keep that robot gun metal grey. That would have really worked for me, instead of that silly racecar red coloring. Ah well.
