LEGO Nakagin Capsule Tower captures the Metabolist spirit

A new builder going by SPACE, TIME, & REALITY has posted a microscale version of the Nakagin Capsule Tower in Tokyo.

LEGO Nakagin Capsule Tower

The technique used for the round capsule windows is excellent, while the mix of light and dark windows adds interest.

A question with an extremely complicated question, Worker201! This is probably terribly reductionist, but the US was never as big on megastructure public housing as European countries or Japan… The American equivalent might be those later called “the projects” in Chicago, NYC, and elsewhere… most failed miserably, most have been demolished, and some are lasting scars on the neighborhoods they were built in.

Also, before you say “I would so live in one of those,” keep in mind that each apartment is only 8 x 13 feet!

^ I would so live in one of those. According to Wikipedia, though, units can be combined to give a little more space. 13×16 would probably be better.
