    • This section of town, by ericblacky, has buildings with a certain feel to them that I can’t describe. He says they are still a Work in Progress, but I felt I had to blog these. They are quite striking.

      Correct. Massive stone construction feel, variegated levels, covered walk-ways, an interest in light. Massive without feeling overwhelming. Italianate and English detailing. It’s beautifully handled and gives a feeling of an architectural evolution that didn’t fall to lowest-cost contracting and materials. What’s rent going for in this place?

      This is really impressive. Makes me want to shut down the computer and go build some houses! And that is the greatest compliment I can think of for a MOC.
